WP2 - Identification of engineering competences
The specific objective of this work package is to identify the technical competencies of engineering degrees that require to be improved at a different level or locations. To goal, this objective is required to involve not only HE teachers but also, students and professionals of specific sectors.
The theoretical acquisition of the technical competencies by the students shall be mandatorily contrasted by professionals to develop a more realistic validation. For this purpose, an organisation for competencies certification (ICEP) has been directly involved in the project.
Indicators
The achievement of this work package will be measurable by means of the following Key Performance Indicator (KPI): number of engineering degrees analysed, number of competencies analysed, number of competencies to be improved according to their actual level of the acquisition of the competencies. In addition, these KPIs will segment by gender, location or age, among others.
The intervention proposed here will try to improve the level of acquisition of the competencies as much as possible. Therefore, a direct KPI of the result of the project is the increment in the level of the acquisition of the competencies. Although one task of this work package is specifically designed to obtain the best KPIs for the project purpose.
