Towards unattended operation
for edge computing

DC-AIops

This is a three-phase project aiming to advance datacenter operations by means of AI and robotics. Phase 1 and phase 2 have been funded by Spanish Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism and by European Union throuh the Recovery and Resilience Plan.

Phase 1

Improve visibility

AEI-010500-2022b-214

Monitorization
& Predictive
Analysis

Artificial intelligence to improve visibility and develop understanding: predictive analysis system and continuous optimization of cooling consumption with a minimum of non-intrusive sensors and automatic detection of anomalies.

Phase 2

Improve automation

AEI-010500-2023-167

Automation
with CDPR

Artificial intelligence to automate: cable-driven parallel robot for continuous monitoring and and automate the operation.

Phase 3

Improve collaboration

Not yet funded

Collaborate
to save

Collaboration between edge data centers to improve resource utilization and take advantage of opportunities (e.g. low-cost energy from renewables).

About DC-AIops
Project

The DC-AIOPS project aims to solve current problems for automated and efficient operation of Edge Computing infrastructures, using artificial intelligence. As we apply data-driven strategies, we focus on optimizing energy consumption (main cost of operation). Allows a faster and more sustainable start-up of services such as IIoT and Industry 4.0, smart cities, personalized medicine or connected vehicles, significant reduction in consumption, greater operational efficiency and significant improvement in the use of resources.
